Purchased this when our Tomy Platinum Walkabout gave up after 20 months. Wished we had bought this one in the first place when our son was arriving. I admit we have not had the BT 150 as long and they both have equal audio clarity but the quality of manufacture of the BT is far better than the Tomy.Also it has more features (not that we use them).
The other plus point is that the BT takes standard rechargeable batteries so they can be replaced. The Tomy has its own battery which cannot be replaced and after about a year, you couldn’t get it downstairs and plugged in again before it had switched itself off.
Also tried a very cheap Fisher-Price in between to get us by but the audio clarity was terrible and we had a constant hum when it was on. Probably more to do with our house/where we live and inteference but we could not use it.
In summary, the BT 150 is a quality product and for those prospective parents deciding which monitor to buy, you won’t be disappointed.
